KYTE IS FLYING
Originally from Norway and now residing in Austria, Jon Kyte first entered the live poker tournament scene in 2016, with a 3rd place finish in the NLH Turbo MTT at the Norwegian Championships & JP Masters held in Dublin.
A year later, at the same event series, Jon scored his first live poker victory in the PLO 8-Max, and just a week later, he made it back-to-back series titles with a first-place finish in the NLH 8-Max, proving his skills in both popular poker formats.
But it was to be in December 2017 when Jon hit the real poker heights. At the partypoker Nordic Poker Championships in Prague, Jon overcame a 396-player field to win the €2,200 NLH event for a massive €240,000, boosting his bankroll to the next level.
Jon continued his poker journey in countries such as Australia, England, Netherlands, Estonia and Spain before returning to the Czech Republic in 2022, which saw him achieve 4th place in the Eureka Main Event for another impressive €131,000.
At the 2023 WSOP, Jon had a deep run in the Main Event, taking 267th place out of 10,043 entries, and just a few months later, at EPT Prague, he achieved his biggest live score to date, with a runner-up finish in the Main Event for €643,000.
Jon has since backed up that amazing performance with a runner-up finish in the 2024 WSOP $2,500 Mixed: Omaha 8 or Better/Stud 8 or Better event for $148,000 and an impressive 4th place finish in the 2024 EPT Barcelona €10,300 High Roller event for €280,000.
